FAQ’s

Do you charge anything for someone to give a talk to our group?

No, we provide the talks free of charge. We hope that following the talk you might feel inspired to support the charity through a donation, by following us on social media, or even by organising a fundraising event but there is no expectation for you to do this.

How long are the talks?

They can be tailored to meet your group’s requirements but we would suggest allowing at least 20 – 30 minutes for the talk and additional time for questions.

Do you provide any necessary equipment?

Our volunteer speakers use a PowerPoint presentation featuring information and images to support their talk. They can bring a projector and extension leads but where possible we would ask you to supply a screen (or suitable wall), table and chair.

How much notice do you need to give a talk?

The more time we have the better, the majority of SCAA’s talks are given by our volunteer speakers so it helps to have plenty of notice to get it booked into their diaries. However, if you find you have a last minute cancellation please get in touch and we’ll see if we can help!
