All net proceeds from the lottery are donated to Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, who require £10m a year to ensure the continuation of the service. In 2024, as a percentage of the total sales, 70% went directly to Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, 1% was paid in prizes and 29% covered the costs to manage and licence the lottery. Draws are held each Tuesday, and prizes of £1000 and 4x£25 are currently allocated to winning combinations drawn by a random number generator, as long as the player has paid to enter that particular draw. Currently players have approximately a 1:19000 chance of winning one of those prizes, depending upon the number of players in the draw that week.
